Other Scholarships
 
Scholarship recipients are expected to be particularly strong and positive leaders at SCAD, excelling academically and representing the college well within the community. Scholarships are available to both United States citizens and international students and are awarded to entering students prior to first-quarter attendance.

Scholarships for future SCAD students are administered through the admission department. If you have applied to SCAD or you are considering applying and you have questions about scholarships, contact the admission office:
Academic Honors
A limited number of Academic Honors Scholarships may be awarded to accepted graduate students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement through Graduate Record Examination scores of 600 or above on the verbal section, 740 or above on the quantitative section, and 5 or higher on the analytical writing section; or a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, upon receipt of official scores and transcripts.

Artistic Honors
A limited number of Artistic Honors Scholarships may be awarded to accepted graduate students who meet or exceed normal admission standards and who demonstrate artistic achievement through presentation of portfolio, audition or writing submission.

Combined Honors
A limited number of Combined Honors Scholarships may be awarded to accepted graduate students who demonstrate both academic and artistic achievement through a presentation of outstanding portfolio, audition or writing submission and above average grades and test scores.

Daily Successes with ADHD Scholarship, sponsored by Shire, the makers of Vyvanse
Two one-time scholarships in the amount of $10,000 may be awarded to adult students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. To be eligible, an applicant must be enrolled in or applying to a graduate program at SCAD-Atlanta. The applicant must provide a letter from his or her physician verifying a diagnosis of ADHD, in addition to a 500-word essay describing how ADHD affects his or her daily life. The applicant must also provide approval, in writing, that he or she would be willing to participate in any media interviews, print or Internet usage that may arise from winning the scholarship, including openly acknowledging and discussing his or her experiences with ADHD.

Educator Scholarship
Educators who are employed full-time at the time of application and who teach at the kindergarten through college level at a public or private institution recognized by the applicant's state department of education may be eligible to receive a scholarship for half the amount of SCAD's tuition. To be eligible, an educator must apply and be accepted to SCAD and must provide proof of employment and good standing from his or her school administrator or human resources department.

Employer Tuition Assistance

Many employers offer tuition assistance to employees who seek to improve themselves through further education. These students may also qualify for SCAD scholarships and/or federal or state financial aid. To be eligible, an employee must apply and be accepted to SCAD, request scholarship consideration, and provide proof of the employer's commitment to provide tuition assistance.

Graduate Scholars
A $15,000 per year scholarship may be awarded to a limited number of accepted graduate students who demonstrate outstanding academic and artistic achievement. Minimum requirements include Graduate Record Examination scores of 600 or above on the verbal section, 740 or above on the quantitative section, and 5 or higher on the analytical writing section; and/or a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, upon receipt of official scores and transcripts. The applicant also must demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and documentation of extracurricular activities, honors and awards. In addition, the student must present an outstanding portfolio, audition or writing submission.

SCAD and Atlanta College of Art Alumni Scholarships
Scholarships of $250 per course, with a maximum of $3,000 per year, are awarded to SCAD and Atlanta College of Art alumni who apply and are accepted into any graduate program. Alumni may also qualify for higher scholarships based on artistic and academic honors, and may qualify for additional federal financial aid. The application fee, as well as the enrollment fee for accepted applicants, are waived for SCAD and ACA alumni; SCAD transcripts may be requested through the admission office at no charge.

The application fee and $500 matriculation fee are waived for SCAD and ACA alumni accepted into SCAD-eLearning graduate programs, and SCAD transcripts may be requested by the admission office at no charge.
