When students graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, they become members of the SCAD alumni organization, through which they have access to a number of benefits and receive the personal attention they have come to expect from SCAD. Wherever alumni live, they are encouraged to participate in the continuing growth and progress of their alma mater. Alumni also receive the following benefits:

Alumni may use the
Jen Library in Savannah or the SCAD-Atlanta library free of charge, and may continue to check out books. Alumni may check out only two books at a time for a two-week (14-day) period. Alumni may not use electronic equipment for any purpose other than education.
For three months after they graduate, alumni may use labs and facilities at no charge (with the exception of the furniture department, which charges a small fee) to complete their portfolios. Alumni may pick up their lab and facility access card at York Hall, 115 E. York St., Savannah, Ga., 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Alumni Usage of Authorized SCAD Facilities Waiver (PDF -- 32K) Alumni can participate in events and activities held by

Alumni can show their pride and achievement with a SCAD alumni decal, given to all graduating students.
Each year the office of alumni relations holds Alumni and Parents Weekend during Sidewalk Arts Festival. Events include a welcome reception for alumni and parents featuring an alumni awards ceremony, academic building tours and all the Sidewalk Arts Festival activities. In addition, alumni are invited to attend gallery openings and guest lectures, participate in exhibitions and competitions, and cheer on SCAD at sporting events.
Any event or program that is free for current students is also free to alumni with a valid SCAD alumni ID. To receive invitations to special events, alumni are encouraged to fill out the alumni survey.
Certain alumni benefits require a SCAD alumni ID card. Alumni ID cards can be obtained by going to York Hall, 115 E. York St., Savannah, Ga., Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Bring a driver's license or passport. Alumni ID cards can be obtained at SCAD-Atlanta by calling 404.253.3475.
