The distinguished faculty program is an exciting, albeit challenging opportunity for students at SCAD-Atlanta that expands the role of a visiting artist. Beginning Spring 2006, renowned artists will join our faculty for one quarter to teach specialized courses and offer invaluable student critiques. The vision of the program is both unique and profound: students will be taught on a weekly basis by celebrated artists who have succeeded in transforming their art into successful careers - by artists who exemplify the mission of a SCAD education. These advanced, five-hour credit courses are open to all graduate students and available to seniors with faculty adviser or chair approval. Distinguished Visiting Faculty Carrie Mae Weems, B.F.A., California Institute of the Arts; M.F.A., University of California, San Diego. Patrick Dougherty, B.A., University of North Carolina; M.A., University of Iowa. Nene Humphrey, M.F.A., York University; M.A., Goddard College; B.A., St. Mary's College. Sandy Skoglund, M.F.A., M.A., University of Iowa; B.A., Smith College.
