What The heart of the challenge is for the participants to face what is normally a multi-person, or multi-month task and effectively execute the same task in a 24-hour period with no advanced planning.
Originally executed in conjunction with the international 24-hour Comics Day, SCAD-Atlanta students were challenged to produce a 24-page print ready comic book in a 24-hour period.
The 2007 event at SCAD-Atlanta brings an interdisciplinary approach to the creative challenge. Students can choose from several ways in which to participate:
- Each major has a different challenge and students are free to work alone or collaborate with other students on a challenge within their discipline or on one from another area.
- An individual student or a team of students from various disciplines can execute a pre-determined challenge.
Coffee and other beverages, snacks, pizza and breakfast will be provided to participating students.
Non-participating students are welcome to observe the event.
