The office of student involvement at the Savannah College of Art and Design oversees planning and supervision of programs that promote the development and growth of students as leaders and as productive members of the college community. Orientation, student activities, community service, and student organizations and leadership conferences offer students opportunities to develop or enhance leadership skills. Student activities and organizations complement academic studies and enhance students’ educational experience through social, cultural, intellectual, recreational and professional programs. Activities and organizations provide students with a viable means of applying skills learned in class while allowing them to interact with other students. In addition, retreats and seminars are scheduled throughout the academic year, and a resource library provides materials to support student leadership.
