This five-week residential program awards college credit to rising high school seniors who are ready for a summer college experience. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their visual arts portfolios. Outside class, students complete assignments, take field trips, socialize, and enjoy area parks and other attractions. College housing and meals are provided. Students who successfully complete the Rising Star program earn college credit, which may be applied toward a baccalaureate degree at SCAD or at other colleges or universities. (Course credits are applied to degree requirements at the discretion of the accepting institution.)
