Matthew Burge

As a digital artist, Matthew Burge has been featured in national and international competitions and programs. His fine art has been shown in galleries and museums. His most recent showings were at the Boca Raton Museum of Fine Arts and the IMUG NAB reel. He also exhibited the piece "33 vertebrae," a multi-monitor experimentation, in "Electronics Alive III" at the University of Tampa, Fla. Other participants in this show were Bruce Wands and Chris Landreth, Oscar winner for the animated short film "Ryan."
As a motion graphics designer, Burge has worked in both Chicago and South Florida. In Chicago, he worked an animator/designer producing work for clients including Pepsi, Gatorade and Chicago Radio Broadcasters. He also worked as a multimedia developer and 3-D animator at Atomic Imaging Chicago. In South Florida, Burge worked for CPN Design Studios as a designer/animator, Tampa Digital Studios head animator/designer and WFLA Channel 8 (Tampa's NBC affiliate) as a designer/animator. His South Florida clients included ESPN, NHRA, NHL, NFL, the U.S. Department of Defense and others. Burge has worked with personalities ranging from fitness guru Tony Little to Butch Patrick (TV's Eddie Munster) to author Tom Clancy.
Burge has been teaching art and computer art for more than nine years. He also has an extensive background in experimental video art and interactive media.

Carl Marxer

Carl L. Marxer has been working at his production company, Video Production Services, since 1982. The company produces video for corporate and industrial clients including the American Cancer Society, AT&T, IBM, Coca-Cola USA, Kroger, Wrigley and Scientific Atlanta. Marxer has taught video production at the Atlanta Art Institute and the American InterContinental University, and he specializes in creating material for non-standard video displays.

Pat Smith

Pat Smith spent 15 years with Turner Broadcasting as vice president and creative director of TBS and Turner South networks, respectively. She designed the logo, set, and on-air and print packaging and promotion for "Dinner and a Movie," TBS network's award-winning movie franchise. In 1999, Smith directed the design and launch of the first regional broad-based network, Turner South, which garnered 17 industry awards in its first two years of broadcast. Since June 2006, she has served as an adjunct professor at SCAD-Atlanta.

Jill Taffet

Emmy Award-winning creative director Jill Taffet created the original, innovative on-air branding of E! Entertainment Television in 1991 and also oversaw the network's re-branding 10 years later. In addition, she has created on-air identities for HBO, TV Land, Oxygen and MSNBC, and has designed main titles and promo campaigns for networks including ESPN, NBC, Discovery Networks and FOX. She also has developed and designed Web sites, kiosks and CD-ROMs for various cable networks and movie studios. Prior to joining SCAD as chair of the broadcast design and motion graphics department, she served as a professor of digital media at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
