SCAD graduates are in demand at the United States' most recognized companies. Each year, more than 175 companies and organizations visit SCAD to meet and recruit our students and alumni. More than eight out of 10 SCAD 2008 alumni surveyed had been placed in jobs in their fields or had been admitted to graduate school within six months of graduation.
Cotton Incorporated sponsored a $30,000 scholarship competition with SCAD as part of the 2009 Cotton Student Sponsorship Program, which furthers awareness of cotton fiber and textiles among students. SCAD fashion and fibers students designed individually and in a fashion/fibers collaboration. Fashion student Roy Blake Smith won $10,000, fibers students Katherine Reed and Aggie Armstrong each won $5,000, and fashion student Audra Noyes and fibers student Lillian-Marie Vides won $5,000 each.
