Awards and Recognition
The American Film Institute Conservatory accepted graduate film and television student Yousef Linjawi (B.F.A., film and television, 2007) into Master of Fine Arts program in cinematography beginning Fall 2008. Linjawi, who will be mentored by professional cinematographers, received news of his acceptance from cinematographer and AFI senior filmmaker-in-residence Stephen Lighthill ("Sons and Daughters," "60 Minutes"). "The AFI was founded in 1967 as a national arts organization to train filmmakers and preserve America's vanishing film heritage" (from afi.com).
