Merging the skills to conceive and execute concepts, and to translate those concepts into tangible images, illustration designers have flexibility across a wide range of professional communication outlets.
The illustration design program offers graduate students a unique opportunity to study a wide range of illustration and graphic design. They create a consistent body of work to enhance an illlustration or graphic design portfolio and pursue opportunities in related fields.

The M.A. culminates in a final project that brings together the experience of both disciplines. Final projects of anything from postage stamps to children's books and greeting cards exemplify the close interconnectedness of these two areas and the similar skill sets applied.
