Metals and jewelry at SCAD prepares you for a variety of careers in industrial, fine art or small-business settings. Gain a foundation of traditional jewelry, metalsmithing and silversmithing techniques, plus experience in new technologies, concept development, electronic design and rendering as well as production methods.

Facilities for precision casting, finishing, enameling, lapidary, anodizing, CAD/CAM, forming and stone setting processes
Tools for 3-D computer modeling and computer numeric controlled programming and milling
FDM Prodigy Plus rapid prototyping 3-D printer with capabilities for ABS or wax models of CAD prototypes, and four-axis CNC milling machines
