The M.F.A. in painting is offered in residence in Atlanta and Savannah, and through SCAD eLearning with a limited residency requirement. Students begin in residence in Savannah or Atlanta, take courses online fall through spring, then finish in residence in Atlanta or Savannah.

Michael Scoggins featured in magazines
Michael Scoggins (M.F.A., painting, 2006) is the featured artist in the Southeast edition of New American Paintings magazine, Issue 82. He also was profiled in the July Elle magazine and the Elle Korean edition. He gave a lecture at MoMA in May 2009. An audio link is available.
Whitney Wood featured in exhibition trio
Alumna Whitney Wood (M.F.A., painting, 2008) is one of three artists featured in the exhibition "Abstractions," July 17-Aug. 20 at TEW Galleries in Atlanta. The show features Wood's large abstract paintings, which "seem to evoke sea forms that are simultaneously structured and formless."
