Freshman Orientation in Savannah

Before You Arrive

Students may complete several items before orientation to ensure a timely and smooth check-in. When they arrive at orientation check-in, they will receive an updated orientation schedule as well as step-by-step instructions regarding the rest of orientation.

1. Send in a photo for your student ID, called a SCAD Card. Photographs should be e-mailed to SCAD Card in either JPEG or GIF format. Include your full name and account number from your bursar's invoice or statement. For more information, call the SCAD Card Center at 912.525.8440.

2. Contact your admission counselor to verify that all financial aid documentation has been received.

3. Pay tuition.
To pay tuition online before coming to orientation, visit the MySCAD Web site.

• Log on.
• Click on the My Info tab.
• Locate the "My Account" channel.
  
• Click on “Make an Online Payment.”

4. Register your car online.
To register your car online before coming to orientation, visit the MySCAD Web site.

• Log on.
• Click on the My Info tab.
• Click on “College Services.”
• Click on “Parking Services” and follow the instructions. You need to know your vehicle make, model, year and tag number for this process. Once you have registered your car, you will need to bring your ID to orientation to pick up your parking decal.

If you do not preregister your car, take note of the following information to register your car during orientation: make, color, year and tag number.

5. Fill out housing information online. If you plan to live on campus, after receipt of your personal identification number (issued upon payment of matriculation fee), visit the MySCAD Web site.

• Log on.
• Click on the My Info tab.
• Click on “Student Services and Financial Aid.”
• Click on “Housing Registration.”
• Follow the steps to enter your housing information.

6. Disability Services. Contact the counseling and student support services office should you require assistance during the academic year due to physical, psychological and/or learning disabilities. Send e-mail to disability services.

7. Bring a government-issued ID with you to check-in at orientation.
